Joe is in his early 20s and can be described as a physical specimen. He is a fit person and a regular gym-goer. He has been working out for about 3 years now and has been pretty consistent. He has been counting calories and working out for about 4 months now. Joe has been working out consistently on and off for the past four months, but has never felt as good as he does now. He can see results from working out. He knew he wanted to get bigger and more confident in his body, so he decided to sign up for a body transformation program over a year ago.
The human body is a fascinating thing. We spend our entire lives trying to maintain its shape and function. But sometimes, it’s a little too friendly to us. In this section, we are showcasing some of the best body transformations from around the web.
Do you find it difficult to make significant changes to your health? What is your way of life? What do you think of the way you look and feel? All of the people you’ll read about today experienced similar difficulties. Then, with professional guidance, they reversed their fortunes, transforming their bodies and lives. Here are 34 things we may learn from their achievements.
They were sick of running out of breath on the stairwell and falling behind the youngsters in the park. They were terrified by what their physicians had told them. I’m concerned about my medications. I’m tired of wanting to look in the mirror and see something else.
These men and women attempted a variety of methods to become healthy and enhance their fitness, and many of them began to think it was impossible.
Perhaps you can relate to these people. Perhaps you deal with customers and patients who have experienced similar hopelessness?
If that’s the case, here’s some good news: These Coaching customers came to us after years of hardship and produced some of the most amazing physical changes we’ve ever seen.
So we inquired, “How did you accomplish it?”
The 34 lessons they offered are listed below – skills we can all apply to exercise smarter, eat better, manage stress, prioritize sleep, and overall take better care of our health and fitness.
1. We only have one body and one life.
Lisa had everything she needed for a happy life: a wonderful house, a caring husband, and two adorable children.
She was, however, overweight, excessively stressed, and relied on muscle relaxants on a daily basis to cope with physical discomfort. She was in pain and dissatisfied.
She recognized at the age of 39 that she would never have a “second shot” at the life she really desired. She felt compelled to make her own self-care a priority.
“Me first” has become a way of life for me now that I’m 50 pounds lighter. Because everyone around her benefits when she is healthy, active, and cheerful.
Lisa claims she is now the “happiest woman on the planet.”
2. It is possible to change at any age.
Daniel, firmly rooted in “middle age,” was uncertain how much he could alter.
Daniel envisioned himself and his 5-year-old kid fighting together during an early activity in the coaching program called “Destination Postcards,” in which clients are encouraged to compose personal letters from their aspirational future selves.
Clients are invited to make this envisioned future a reality at the conclusion of the program, and Daniel jumped at the chance.
“I dropped weight and got the courage to undertake a new fitness adventure because to the habits established in me by.”
Daniel and his son Jackson worked together to make his idea a reality.
“At 46 years old, I didn’t believe I’d have the courage to take up a martial art. In Brazilian jiu-jitsu, I’m now a one-stripe white belt.”
Despite the fact that his kid now outranks him, Daniel isn’t giving up.
3. Following instructions is ineffective; accepting responsibility is.
Spencer, 52, has been to the gym before. He had a trainer and worked out a couple times a week, but he wasn’t seeing any results.
He admits, “Physically, I was a shambles.” “I was annoyed by my denim size and despised dressing up. I looked terrible. On weekends, I’d drink beers and immerse myself in an attempt to forget about it.”
Spencer eventually dropped weight – 56 pounds to be precise — because to Coaching.
What tipped the scales in the end?
Spencer adds, “I’m accustomed to a coach instructing me what to do and what to eat.” “None of it was done by Zach [my PN coach].”
Spencer had to accept personal responsibility for his diet, drink, and exercise choices with Zach’s help.
“Every week, Zach checked in with me and kept me focused.”
Making his own food choices — and learning a lot in the process — was ultimately what opened the path for Spencer’s true transformation.
4. Be open to receiving help.
Chrystalene’s agency and vitality had been stolen by persistent depression and untreated health issues by the time she was 34.
Her weight was a source of dissatisfaction for her. It was often unpleasant to move. And she struggled to do even the most basic chores, such as cleaning the floor, washing the dishes, or flossing her teeth. Even going out for a cup of coffee may be stressful.
She described herself as “lazy.” She persuaded herself that all she needed to do was exercise, eat healthier, and be more optimistic. She blamed herself if she failed. She even kept her distance from prospective allies.
Chrystalene eventually recognized that she needed assistance if she wanted to change. She enrolled in Coaching with the hopes of finding it there.
When Chrystalene became ready to accept help, a strange thing happened:
Things became less difficult.
Chrystalene gained the momentum she needed with the assistance of a flexible program and an understanding coach.
She started to stand up for herself. Her persistent depression was treated with medicine. Her injuries were discussed with a physiotherapist. Her health issues necessitated surgery.
She accepted complete responsibility for herself, but she also realized she didn’t have to do it alone.
“There’s almost certainly a method to make your heavy item lighter, and figuring out how is well worth the effort. It does not need to be difficult all of the time. It isn’t entirely your fault.”
Her advice to others in similar situations?
“Stay on your own side of the fence. “Never give up.”
5. You don’t have to be perfect to get started.
Alicia was working, singing at her church, raising three children, and managing other complex family obligations when she was 48 years old.
She was stressed out and overeating, and all she wanted to do was get “off the diet-mobile,” as she puts it.
No matter what she did, she couldn’t keep the weight off. What was the point of it?
But, after seeing a buddy lose 44 pounds with Coaching, Alicia thought it was worth a shot.
Nothing was ideal — she was wounded from the start of the program and didn’t have the funds to hire a trainer or join a club — but Alicia kept her successful buddy in mind and trusted the coaching process.

6. Transformation begins on the inside.
We often want for things to be different right now. We convince ourselves that if our bodies (or our jobs, our spouses, our mothers-in-law, etc.) changed, we would feel better.
In many cases, however, the opposite is true.
An internal transformation — a choice to do better for ourselves — is the catalyst for change. Take it from Gerardo, who was motivated to make a change after hearing something in a commercial:
“Train your mind and it will train your body.”
Gerardo was moved by the statement and decided to transform himself from the inside out. His behaviors altered as a consequence of this psychological transformation. Then his outcomes shifted as well.
“Start with the ‘small things,’ and you’ll see improvements in your body.”
Gerardo achieved the outcomes he desired, but only because he decided to do so first.
7. Keep going despite the fact that motivation and confidence are fleeting.
The agony of being out of shape and overweight had become greater than the pain of making a change for Javier, 42.
He was out of breath on the stairs, his knees hurt, and he realized he wasn’t living the life he was intended to live.
So Javier signed up for Coaching and began working week after week, month after month. Even though he felt he was doing all he could to alter his lifestyle, his own self-doubt kept him back.
He felt better, but he didn’t realize how much he had changed. Javier even threatened to leave the program only a few weeks before it finished.
Thankfully, Javier followed his coach’s advice and continued going, and he couldn’t believe his eyes when he saw his final pictures next to the ones he’d submitted at the start of the program.
He’d dropped 60 pounds in a year and earned the top prize of $25,000 from PN.
8. It’s natural to feel nervous; what’s needed is for you to calm down.
Patience is a virtue when it comes to making significant, long-term changes to your food habits, exercise regimen, and overall health.
Mark, a successful consultant, was anxious and eager to make things happen as soon as possible. Like the majority of customers.
He wanted to do everything: long workouts, rigorous diets, you name it. But, with his numerous business travels and family life, how could it possible work? (Hint: it’s not going well.)
Fortunately, coaching assisted him in slowing down. He dropped 42 pounds by focusing on internalizing the everyday lessons he was learning and being emotionally and physically receptive to change.
“Have patience. Simply come up every day and concentrate on making modest, consistent changes,” he advises. “That’s how significant transformation happens.”
9. Accept all of your emotions and aspects of yourself.
Many individuals may experience a range of emotions, from despair to exhilaration, while trying to achieve major change.
That’s a very common occurrence. It may even be a sign that you’re doing things correctly. Take Jenny’s story as an example:
She writes, “My PN journey was full of tears, laughter, disappointments, triumphs, healing, and joy.”
We advise you to embrace everything. When you accept these emotions as natural and even beneficial, you may learn from them and build a stronger connection with yourself.
Jenny decided to continue accepting what arose throughout her own journey through change.
And there was a bonus for making that decision:
“This trip assisted me in discovering who I am at my core. It also taught me to love her completely.”
10. Take care of yourself as you would a close friend.
Michelle, 44, was a new teacher in New Orleans at the time of Hurricane Katrina’s devastation. She took on the duty of assisting her fragile adolescent pupils develop and learn after they had been through that tragedy in the years that followed.
Michelle, like many others in her position, had forgotten how to look for herself. She became overweight, weary, and worried… It was difficult for her to drag herself to the gym since she was in such a mess.
But, thanks to her husband’s support, she began working with us and re-learned how to prioritize herself, losing 35 pounds in the process.
Michelle’s suggestion is to treat yourself with the same compassion and care you would a good friend. First and foremost, it will assist you in maintaining your life’s purpose. Second, because you are deserving of it.
11. Be willing to learn (or re-learn) what works best for you right now.
Derek had lots of fitness “know-how” as a former wrestler, boxer, and MMA competitor. His weight would drop to where he wanted it if he monitored calories and macros and maintained a strict exercise routine.
Derek’s everyday existence, though, had begun to make his athletic days seem remote by the time he was 38. Derek wanted to give up on exercise since he was a father of three with a busy profession and was suffering with numerous knee surgeries, arthritis, and chronic pain.
Change seemed overwhelming, and while knowing what to do, he struggled to put it into action.
Derek contemplated joining up for coaching, but he was dubious about how much more he could learn as a long-time PN fan. He decided to go ahead and do it anyhow, and he had no idea what would happen next.
“In a manner that truly transformed me, I learnt and relearned the basics of health and fitness.”
His Coach Zach assisted him in being consistent and responsible, and his consistency resulted in incredible outcomes.
Derek is astounded by how simple application of the basics resulted in such spectacular results:
“I’ve competed at a high level, and this is the best I’ve ever felt or looked. I’m starting to feel like a new person. It’s thrilling.”
12. For the win: lifestyle customisation and support.
Most individuals are aware that when it comes to diet and fitness, there is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all solution.
For people like Jean-Charles, knowing what made him — and his way of life — distinctive was critical to his success.
Long work hours, including night shifts; a hip ailment; and a hard job in rural New Brunswick that required him to spend a lot of time sitting in a vehicle were all obstacles for “Jay-C.”
Thankfully, Jay-coach C’s spoke with him on a regular basis through Skype, provided weekly videos, and created a private Facebook group for clients, taking the time to get to know Jay-C and keep him linked to a support team, despite his distant position.
In the end, this kind of lifestyle customization and real support resulted in a 55-pound weight loss and a significant increase in muscle mass (not to mention enough prize money to put a downpayment on a house).
13. Life will inevitably come in the way; seize the chance to bounce back.
Chelsea just wanted to be her old self again when she started coaching: a former athlete who played tennis, basketball, and triathlons. Someone who seemed to be in good shape, competent, and beautiful.
Chelsea struggled to overcome a fitness backslide caused by frequent injuries and a demanding job as a lawyer, so she sought help.
Chelsea jumped into the Coaching program with high hopes. With her injuries and hectic schedule, she soon realized that perfection was not an option.
This temporarily put her off track.
“I missed approximately 2-3 weeks of daily classes about midway through the program. “I’ve blown it, I can’t do this longer, I’ve got too much stuff on my plate,” I thought.
Coach Toni, fortunately, was able to assist Chelsea in going ahead. “With her support, my emphasis shifted to just showing up.”
Chelsea got the benefits you see here, plus more: better mobility, the ability to run without discomfort, and even the opportunity to return to triathlons, thanks to her positive mindset.

14. It’s a bad idea to sit on the fence.
“Jump off that fence if it’s your time, and you’re sitting on the fence — you want to do it, you’re thinking about doing it, you’re not sure whether you should do it,” says Patrick, 35, who dropped 152 pounds with. “And put all you’ve got into it. Why remain on the sidelines when you can participate in life?”
Patrick recognized he’d been putting off making life changes for far too long when all he needed to do was take one tiny step forward… right now.
15. Recognize that your body is still capable of doing things.
Sharon, 46, who dropped more than 30 pounds with Coaching, adds, “Enjoy your body.”
“Enjoy the sensation of movement. Take pride in your abilities.”
Many customers are able to sustain exercise routines and weight reduction over time because of their profound respect for physical wellness.
“My greatest regret about my previous life is that I didn’t have the chance or realize what a wonderful gift my body was,” Sharon says after overcoming breast cancer.

16. Can you imagine what it would be like to live as your future self?
We all have a different reason for wanting to reduce weight and become in shape. Please keep this in mind. Whether it’s getting in shape to play sports with your kids or looking your best on your wedding day, we’ve got you covered.
Melissa, 32, was able to drop 55 pounds thanks to the final one.
“I had this picture of myself on my wedding day in my mind the entire time,” Melissa recalls. “I’m walking tall and feeling fantastic – statuesque rather than mushy around the edges.”
Consider not just how you want to seem, but also how you want to feel. Melissa explains, “It’s not only about what you see in the mirror; it’s about how you feel on the inside.”
What do you wish to experience? Confident? Are you capable of dealing with everything life throws at you? Are you willing to try new things? Are you at ease in your own skin?
Consider what it might be like to live in the future. What does that man or girl look like, how does he or she feel, and what does he or she do? What steps might you take today to start acting more like that person?
17. Take your time and savor every bite of your meal.
Most customers discover they’ve been eating mindlessly for a long time, consuming calories without really experiencing the meal.
Yano, 35, who dropped 76 pounds with says, “There’s nothing fundamentally wrong about dessert.”
Of course, he still loves dessert now and again, and believes that eating it just once in a while is the key to really enjoying it.
What happens when we take the time to really appreciate our food? We generally take it easy. We become more aware of our choices, and we choose meals that are healthier for our bodies.
18. You are shaped by your surroundings, so pick carefully.
Clients typically experience a “ah-ha” moment when they realize how their environment may be contributing to harmful behaviors. They begin to recognize the connection between what they see around them and who they believe they are. This enables individuals to alter their self-stories and begin to experience tangible benefits.
Sarah, 29, discovered while coaching with us that her years working at fast food restaurants had had a bigger effect on her life than she thought.
When she questioned herself, “What do I truly care about?” everything changed for her. What makes me happy? “Can you tell me how I can obtain more of that?”
Sarah and her partner began to alter where they spent their time and with whom they spent it. They began to attempt new things.
“Yoga, treetop hiking, rock climbing, and Olympic weightlifting were among the activities we engaged in. We began becoming more creative with how we spent our time instead of going out for cocktails and supper. Our social lives began to shift.”
What might you eliminate or add to your surroundings to help you live a healthy life?
19. You are a composite of the individuals with whom you spend the most time.
“It turns out that a lot of individuals, like myself, have health and weight issues,” Yano explains. “And they frequently don’t want to eat badly; they simply do it because everyone else is doing it – friends, family, and the people around them. For a long time, it was my issue.”
When deciding what to eat, it’s better to think about “what do I need?” rather than “what do they want?” Yano (above) lost 76 pounds as a result of this.
20. Dive under the surface; it’s there that true transformation takes place.
We may notice some modest, transitory improvements on the scale if we only scratch the surface of our food problems. Alternatively, we may go further into our connection with eating, what drives it, and how to improve it.
Allowing oneself to be vulnerable during Coaching became Sarah’s greatest strength, allowing her to engage in the process of self-questioning.
“How have adversity led me to this point, and how have I dealt with it?” “What do I truly care about?” says the narrator. What makes me happy? “Can you tell me how I can obtain more of that?” This assisted her in losing 52 pounds.
21. Remain connected to what you like in yourself.
“Just remember, as you uncover and discover a new and best version of yourself, you deserve all of the wonderful insights, strength increases, friendships, learning — whatever you take from this program,” Sarah (above) adds.
“You are deserving.”
It’s all too easy to get caught up in all the things you wish you could alter. But if you don’t do anything good, all that negativity will pull you down.
So take time to congratulate yourself on the things you’re already good at, as well as the little victories you’re having along the road.
22. It makes no difference how much you “know.”
Kevin, 40, who lost 37 pounds with Coaching, says, “It’s about understanding that no matter how educated I am or how much I know about fitness, if I’m not experiencing it, I don’t truly know it.”
In fact, thinking of oneself as a novice may be beneficial.
You may be the go-to person for health and fitness questions among your family and friends. But if you can find a method to clear the slate and create room for new ideas and suggestions — or even simply hearing them with fresh ears — you’ll have a far better chance of succeeding.
23. Enlist the help of someone who will keep you responsible.
Peter, 52, who lost 33 pounds, adds, “I certainly understood three quarters of’s dietary guidelines before I began.”
“However, consistency is the key to reducing weight and maintaining a healthy weight,” he adds. You’ll make healthy decisions as a habit if you have someone breathing down your neck.
To put it another way, it’s not about knowing but about doing.
The lightbulb moment for our customers was relinquishing power to coaches, who provided realistic lifestyle guidance, daily routines, and — most importantly — responsibility.
Get yourself some responsibility if you already know what to do but aren’t doing it.
There is no such thing as being “too busy.”
The customers that have the least amount of time are some of our most successful.
Take Lisanne, who dropped 38 pounds while caring for three young children — one of whom was a breastfeeding baby — and earning certifications as a yoga teacher and doula on the program.
“At first, I questioned whether this was a ridiculous moment to start,” Lisanne explains. But then I reasoned, “Why not?”
“When you think about it, what better time?”
Other customers have several jobs or travel five days a week and have no idea where they will stay next.
They claim that organization is the key to achieving our goals. Also, assisting someone in determining their “minimum effective dosage” of exercise and diet.
25. Because most people can’t accomplish everything, concentrate on what you can do today.
Don’t worry about what you can’t accomplish.
Determine what you’re capable of right now and develop from there.
Richard, 49, who lost 103 pounds in our yearlong program, says, “I had to find it within myself to realize that it was acceptable to do things a little differently.”
He had to understand that it was OK to concentrate on and attempt just what he was capable of. And to forget about the rest, even if he felt obligated to do it.
Clients eventually internalize the mantra: “Begin wherever you are.” Make do with what you’ve got. Do whatever you can.
26. Visualize yourself as a role model, then act like it.
Lisanne (above) says, “I want my kids to be healthy, happy, and proud of the way they conduct their lives.” “It’s not enough for me to say I believe in it; I have to lead by example.”
Consider this: What does “role model you” do on a daily basis? What do they do first thing in the morning? How do they keep the whole family in shape?
And what can you do today to start doing a little more of that?
27. Give up the notion that you must devote your whole life to weight loss.
Sure, some of the adjustments you’ll have to make will be significant. However, the reality is that building a fantastic physique takes just a few hours each week.
Anyone may lose weight, become healthier, and feel better by receiving the proper type of assistance and following simple but effective everyday routines.
Kia understood this and dropped 61 pounds as a result. For her, the major surprise was:
“No one ever promises you it’s easy to become in shape. That you can develop a terrific physique in only a few hours each week. Anyone can lose weight, become healthier, and feel better by receiving the proper type of assistance and adopting simple but effective habits.”
28. Follow your taste senses’ guidance.
The availability of processed food, particularly while shopping, may hinder many individuals trying to establish new eating habits.
To avoid these temptations, our customers learn how to navigate the store.
You’ve probably heard that before, but it’s true: Keep to the outskirts.
Instead than being swayed by enticing packaging and marketing ploys, John, 46, learnt to shop for tastes.
“I ask myself, ‘Where do my taste senses want to go today?’” says the author. Then he goes out and buys genuine, fresh ingredients (spices, herbs, fruits, veggies, and so on) to create a dinner based on his own ideas.
And it was successful. John was able to shed 106 pounds.
29. You are not obligated to do anything; you have the option to do so.
Heather, 37, who dropped 47 pounds in Coaching, says, “What I learnt was that I had to take responsibility for my own choices.”
“I needed to be honest with myself. I learnt to distinguish between thinking, “I have to do x,” “I chose to do x,” and “I’m doing x.”
Everyone needs to put forth the effort. We’re all flawed, and our lives are as well. So the greatest thing we can do is just go out there and choose to do our best.
30. Make health-care programs adapt to your specific requirements.
When fitness and diet regimens seem like they were designed for someone else, individuals get discouraged. This is understandable. Because the vast majority of them were.
Everyone’s requirements are different.
There is no such thing as a “one size fits all” solution for long-term weight reduction.
Cheryl, for example, dropped 68 pounds despite being diagnosed with degenerative disc condition and being advised to avoid strength exercise for the most of her Coaching experience.
Is there no heavy lifting? It’s no issue. We assisted her in making changes to the exercises.
Cheryl thinks the diagnosis was a relief in some respects. “It became OK for me to acknowledge that because of discomfort, I was missing out on what others were doing at the gym.”
Just because long-distance running has worked for your buddies, or because your gym trainer advises you to “go heavy or go home,” doesn’t mean you have to follow suit.
31. Focus on what you can accomplish rather than what you’re measuring.
Katey, a Coaching client, found this to be an important takeaway from the program:
“You can’t concentrate on weight reduction since it’s beyond your control. The process is something you can manage. It’s up to you. You will achieve your objectives if you accumulate enough excellent ones over time. Work hard on the healthy habits and the rest will take care of itself.”
Katey must have read it a dozen times. “It was such a crucial component of… everything. It was something I’d overlooked before. It was at that point that I switched my attention from what I wanted to happen to the next step.”
If you’ve been stressing about results — like attempting to get the scale to move on a daily basis — try focusing on actions instead.
What are you doing right now to promote a different result in the future?
32. Every minute, every day, you have the option of starting again.
Patricia, 56, who dropped 69 pounds with says, “I learned I could have a new slate every time I screwed up since this was about my healthy lifestyle, not just a diet.”
“Coaching taught me habits and changed my perspective on my body and the foods I eat. It’s a life plan that I’m certain I’ll be able to stick to indefinitely.”
You may have some regrets about previous conduct, whether it’s years of yo-yo dieting or the pizza-and-wings combination you had for supper last night.
However, you don’t have to allow your fears of “failures” and “mistakes” keep you back.
Don’t berate yourself, dwell about your mistakes, or punish yourself. Every minute, every day, wipe the slate clean and focus on the present.
33. Inexhaustible zeal is a fallacy.
It’s a grind at times — and that’s true for everyone.
“I learnt that even if you don’t feel like going to the gym, you have to drag your a$$ there. Kim, 25, who dropped 24 pounds using Coaching, feels that knowing it relieved her of a tremendous weight.
“While the exercise may seem to be sluggish and uninspiring at first, once you’re there, it’s very simple to complete.”
Workouts may be a lot of fun at times. When the stars align, we can prepare a wonderful, nutritious, well-balanced dinner.
Healthy living may sometimes seem like a chore at times. That’s OK.
When it feels nice, I love it. Allow it to suck when it wants to. The most important thing is to keep going.
34. Act bold and courageous, even if you aren’t yet.
When you discover the guts to go outside of your comfort zone, amazing things may happen.
