The Galaxy Z Flip Made us Look Forward to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

For a time, we all thought the two-in-one phone was a dying breed. But Samsung’s latest Galaxy Z Flip gave us hope that the category could be revived. The Z Flip boasts a beautiful metal body and very thin bezels. It also packs in a 5.9″ 1080p display, a Snapdragon 625, and an 8MP front camera. The Z Flip is also equipped with an S Pen stylus that lets you write notes or draw on top of whatever you’re viewing.

The Galaxy Z Flip has been a gadget we’ve been waiting for ever since we heard about it in February last year. It’s pretty much a Galaxy S handset that’s been flipped on its side and its display uses a Super AMOLED panel to give you an immersive viewing experience.

Samsung’s 5.8-inch Galaxy Z Flip 3 will be making its official debut at Mobile World Congress today, but that’s not all: it’s also rumored to have a square display.

Samsung’s entry into foldable devices has been a game changer in many respects, which comes as no surprise. While the industry isn’t yet developed enough for customers to purchase one without financial constraints, development is excellent – and we’ve played with both the Z Flip and Z Fold – if you ask me which one I’m most excited about, it’ll be the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3.

It Was Exciting When Z Flipped For The First Time

It makes the product nostalgic by bringing back an exciting aspect from the past and bringing it to life with next-generation technology and engineering. Which is precisely what the Z Flip aimed at achieving, bringing the clamshell design smartphone that we all loved and grew up with, powered by the most up-to-date specifications – which is exactly what the Z Flip aimed at accomplishing, and it really became the statement piece.

A compact foldable smartphone that looks like a compactor from Totally Spies! With the chic colors and shiny finish, it was a head turner. And there’s something about flip phones that’s just truly satisfying. When I got my hands on the review unit, I was genuinely impressed with how good it was built and the amount of time spent in R&D to put out a product like this was definitely visible.

One who is both stylish and substantive

Rather than dumbing down the specifications to keep the price as low as possible so that consumers can afford it, the Z Flip didn’t hesitate to tout a flagship processor under the hood that’s capable enough for a long time – and given Samsung’s current update model, it only makes sense to include a flagship processor to keep the price low. The perfect mix of Style and Substance was the deciding factor. Sure, when it was first introduced, the phone was very expensive, comparable to its Fold brothers. But that’s the problem of combining cutting-edge tech with top-tier specifications. At the very least, at the reduced price, you can still buy it and flaunt it in style while still receiving upgrades.

I think the price will drop a bit further, but we’ll find out later.

To make it work, there’s a workaround.

Making a folding phone, much alone engineering one, is difficult — let’s just say it took Samsung a long time to get it right after the first-generation foldable smartphone. However, their UTG – Ultra-thin glass was an intriguing twist, the second generation display should have greater flexibility and durability than the “plastic” like display with the larger fold. That specific technology was a head turner, and since it featured more innovation than ever before, the inclusion of a brush inside the hinge to ensure dust doesn’t settle inside, despite its delicate form factor, demonstrated Samsung was always one step ahead.

So, why am I looking forward to the Z Flip 2?

To be honest, considering how smartphones are becoming larger and how difficult it may be to make them usable, I am looking forward to the Z Flip 3. It’s what I’m looking forward to, with new improvements like a larger front display compared to the original Flip, which has a tiny window for display when closed, improved durability, and other amazing modifications to what Samsung thinks would be good to have. I miss the flip phone era, and it would be wonderful to be able to buy and even drive one on a regular basis. It seems promising based on appearances and leaks, but we’ll have to wait and see what happens – and if you want to learn more about the gadget, stay connected to us as we’ll keep you updated.

Also, I’m hoping that the increase in number isn’t due to a change in the phone itself. I’m certain it will be.

The Galaxy Z Flip was a pretty solid phone, but with the release of the samsung galaxy z flip 3, we are looking forward to the upcoming phone once again.
