Bookings begin for Renault Kwid 1.0-litre just ahead of launch

Indian markets have been taken by storm with the Renault Kwid hatchback that aided six-fold growth to the Renault post in July this year, 2016. The French manufacturer is intended to launch the 1.0-litre avatar of the Kwid for the addressing concerns regarding the lack of power in its 800cc entry-level offering,while the unofficially kicked off has led to begin the bookings.

It is safe to consider that the fully loaded Kwid 1.0-litre would cost around the Rs 5 lakh mark as the highest RXT Opt trim of the 800cc car sets one back by a total of Rs 4.5 lakh, on-road price. While the base model could burn a hole worth around Rs 4 lakh, on-road.

Back in February, the more powerful Kwid at the 2016 Auto Expo was showcased by the carmaker,belonging to Boulogne. Now, a new 1.0-litre engine is fixed at the heart of the car whose four valves per cylinder DOHC layout has been tuned in a way to make the sure low-pressure drop and efficient valve lift for higher air filling.

The news of the launch of 1.0-litre Kwid in August had been confirmed byRenault India CEO and managing director, SumitSawhney,who also confirmed an AMT version of the car to be followed soon.
