While the national numbers painted a neutral picture for home sales across Canada in July, it was quite a different picture in Grande Prairie.
The GP and Area Association of Realtors say the real estate market here posted its best July since 2008, with 243 homes sold.
Those sales represent a 18-percent increase over the same period last year.
Average home prices increased as well, to nearly $268,000 -- that's up 3-percent from a year ago.
Residential dollar volume in sales last month here topped $65.1-million.
Across Alberta there was over $2.1-billion dollars worth of residential home sales, with the provincial average home price at over $363,000.
