Yamaha MotoGP rider line-up for Monday’s Brno Test will be joined by Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK rider and 39th “Coca-Cola Zero” Suzuka 8 Hours Endurance Road Race winner Alex Lowes. Being fresh at Suzuka with successful achievement, he will reportedly reunite with Yamaha Factory Racing endurance teammate and Monster Yamaha Tech3 Team’s Pol Espargarò at the Automotodrom Brno followed by this weekend’s HJC Helmets Grand Prix Ceské Republiky.
For successfully-excellent endurance performance, Yamaha is all set to express gratitude by inviting Lowes to experience Espargarò’s YZR-M1 as part of the official IRTA test which will organise at the Czech circuit on Monday, 22nd August this year.
A month ago, when the pair’s amazing achievement was made in Japan where it has given the opportunity to Espargarò to enjoy the YZF-R1 for the second time, so it is now the Briton’s turn to swap wheels and step aboard the Tech3 Yamaha YZR-M1. Lowes is now yearning for his first chance to sample the GP machinery with his main objective during the test that is focused on adapting his riding to the YZR-M1.
Alex Lowes – Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Rider
As he expressed his gratitude, saying that; “I’m really looking forward to Monday’s test on the YZR-M1. I’m very thankful to Yamaha for providing me the opportunity, and to Hervé Poncharal and the Monster Yamaha Tech3 team for making it possible. Brno is a fantastic circuit and it will be good to work with Pol again, from inside his own garage this time! It’s been a good month already with the Suzuka victory and a really positive test this week on the World Superbike. Yamaha giving me the chance to try one of the best MotoGP bikes in the world will be a great experience for me as a rider and really is the icing on the cake!”
Now, let’s take our eyes at Alex Lowes.
Alex Lowes is 25 years of age and is the 2013 British Superbike Champion. On his way to the title, he has been recording 20 podiums, eight wins, and six pole positions. This was the Superbike World Championship in 2014, on which a fast-cum-determined racer, Lincolnshire-born Lowes put his mark of victory, achieving two podiums and two fastest lap records in his debut year. But this year, Lowes switched to Yamaha as it appears an invigorated stimulus for his goal of consistently challenging race wins. He is not only looking forward to winning the race but ultimately the WorldSBK title aboard the Yamaha YZF-R1.
