Asia Cup 2016 Final : India to face off against Bangladesh

India would be facing the hosts, Bangladesh in the final of Asia Cup 2016.The final is due to be played today at Sher-E-Bangla stadium in Mirpur. It would be a horrendous task for a below par Bangladesh team to compete against Indians, who have remained unbeaten in the tournament until now.Lets have a quick look at some of the facts and key players to look forward to.

India’s Batting Might vs Bangladesh’s Minuscule Bowling

Simply thrown, the fight would be between India’s batting might and Bangladesh’s club level bowling.Indians smashed the Bangladeshi bowlers apart even after a really poor start in the very first game of the tournament. The likes of Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Suresh Raina,Rahane, Dhoni and Pandya can smash apart teams like South Africa and Australia, leave alone Bangladesh.

Even if Bangladesh is to prepare a green seaming track, they would be at the ultimate loss, as they found it in the very first game itself. After getting smashed all over the park, by Indian batsmen, their batsmen themselves found it ridiculously difficult to face off Indian seam bowlers such as Nehra, Bumra and Pandya.Even Indian spinners were found to be impossible to get away.

India Needs to be Just a little Careful

While Bangladeshis have beaten teams such as Sri Lanka and Pakistan in this tournament, they were hardly off any challenge.India on the other hand is a very well settled team and hasn’t lost in its last 8 T20 matches. But as they say, “Cricket is a game of uncertainties”, Indians would want to be just a little careful going into the match.Even minnows like Bangladesh can be a handful on their day.

Pitch Report, Winning Prediction, Toss, Expected Total

The pitch most probably would be a flat one, good for batting overall.Bangladeshis wouldn’t want to make a green track otherwise another mockery of their batsmen at the hands of Indian seamers would be pretty much on the cards.

That said, anything above 150 would be a very good total to defend on this surface.Team winning the toss would be expected to bat first, as this being a final, scoreboard pressure might just come into play while chasing.

India Winning Chance: 80%

Bangladesh Winning Chance: 20%
