NewsBig Cash Up For Grabs During Sunday Racing At Stompede
Chuckwagon racers in the WCA and WPCA circuits will have a little extra to race for on the final day of Stompede. The Grande Prairie Chuckwagon Heritage Foundation has raised an additional 100 thousand dollars in prize money for Sunday's races - 75 thousand for the WPCA races and 25 thousand for the WCA. Heritage Foundation president Justin Tidd says their sponsors really appreciate what the organization is doing. "They understand the whole concept of preserving the heritage of the chuckwagons along with supporting the community. You know it's a big thing, I can not say it enough, bringing people out, getting people together and having a good time watching the chuckwagons so it's a lot of fun that way." Last year, the GPCHF raised 80 thousand dollars for the Sunday races at Stompede.
This year's Dash for Cash winner on the WCA circuit gets 75 hundred dollars plus the lease of a truck, while the WPCA Dash for Cash winner gets 20 thousand dollars, a lease of a truck, and a toy hauler. Most Viewed Stories
