Medicals are done, the wagons have been weighed and everyone's raring to go tonight as the chucks roll at Stompede for the first of five nights of racing.

Two-time defending WCA champ Lane Kimble says he got about 10 more days of training in and is looking forward to the season.

With some new shows on the sked, Kimble figures they have 8 more days of racing this summer, which will make barn management very important. 

"Cycle your horses so they get the right days off and they can rest and heal up. And then I think you get the maximum effort out of them, as long as they get to rest then they'll do their job."
