The M-D of Smoky River have become the latest municipality in the region to issue a burn advisory.
No new burning permits will be issued, with the exception of burning barrels - but only after they have been inspected first by a fire guardian.
The County of Grande Prairie issued it's own burn advisory yesterday.
Hot, dry conditions in the area have led to the advisories being introduced.
The wild fire hazard across the Smoky management area is listed as Very High.
