Aquatera is wrapping up service at it's community recycling depots this week.

Bins at the North end Safeway will be removed tomorrow, while those at St. Joe's school will be taken out of service on Saturday.

Aquatera Recycling Manager Amy Horne says their Eco Centre is still an option for people wishing to drop off recyclables.

"The Eco-Centre will always be here and we accept everything that's in the curbside program in addition to glass and plastic film. Plus, we take household hazardous waste electronics, flourescent light tubes, that sort of thing as well."

Horne says the recycling depots definitely served their purpose while in service.

But she adds as the population of the city increases, it makes more sense to focus their efforts on curbside recycling.
