Province Lifts Fire Ban, County Eases Recreational Firepit Restrictions
Some precipitation and cooler temperatures has encouraged the province to lift its fire ban in forested areas of Alberta.
The ban in Saskatoon Island Provincial Park has also been lifted.
Officals are reminding people to be careful when they're out recreating, and keeping exhaust pipes on ATVs and quads clear of debris.
The County of Grande Prairie has eased its ban to allow for recreational fire pits, but all open burning is otherwise prohibited.
All fire permits are STILL cancelled and no new permits are being issued until the ban is lifted completely.
