Alberta's Culture Minister Heather Klimchuk hopes to see a plan for stable-predictable funding for community culture organizations that she says "run Alberta".

Klimchuk spent a couple of days last week meeting with several Peace country groups to talk about the challenges they face.

Klimchuk says many of the issues are the same, and most are connected to funding levels.

"One of the things I've heard is the idea of predictability and sustainability of funding. We have a lot of organizations that apply for money, on a year to year basis, and they don't know if they're going to get it next year."

Klimchuk says adding a measure of predictability for those groups allows them to attract matching dollars.
