Traffic around the north end Safeway and the Prairie Mall is moving a lot smoother now that ATCO Electric has restored power to traffic lights at a pair of intersections in that area.

The lights at 116th avenue and 99th street, and 115th avenue and 99th street were returned to normal service earlier this afternoon after being knocked off-line when a power pole was knocked over during last night's thunderstorm.

Lights at a third intersection - 105th avenue and 99th street - still do not have power, but ATCO expects that situation will be rectified by later this afternoon.
