16 year-old E-W Pratt High School graduate Danielle Delorme will be furthering her knowledge at a United World College campus next year thanks to a scholarship from the Alberta government.

The High Prairie native is one of eight high school students that will be studying at campuses all over the world thanks to the Grant McEwan United World College Scholarship.

She says she couldn't have done it all herself - if not for some key people, she would never have made it this far.

"My cousin is the one that actually told me about the school, and it was almost by chance that I found out, so I really thank her for opening that door for me."

She adds that her principal , grade 9 math teacher and mother's best friend, who wrote her reference letters , all deserve thanks as well.

Delorme will add 70 thousand dollars to her college fund to cover tuition and accommodations at the College's campus in Victoria, B-C.
