The Grande Prairie Catholic School Division has a busy couple of months ahead of them.

They started demolition work on three of their schools today.

Catholic District Superintendent Karl Germann says the first school to get some T-L-C will be Mother Teresa School.

"We have a Montessorri program in that school and it has been very popular with parents and families, and as a result the school's enrollment is up 30 percent.  So we're moving some modulars to that space and kind of re-changing some of the modulars so that the space in those classrooms is a little larger."

He adds that the three portables are coming from Saint Clement School, as they don't need them right now.

They will also be doing work at Kateri Mission, where they'll be rebuilding several portables, as well as Saint Mary's in Sexsmith, who will also be getting a new modular classroom.
