Aquatera says a number of city apartments and condos have already come on board with their on-site recycling program since March. Communications manager Tim Conrad says it has been a learning process for all parties involved.

"We've learned so far that blue bags are actually, in a lot of cases that's what most of them would rather have on site, rather than the blue bins.  So, we've made a bit of an adjustment there and we're seeing that it takes a little bit longer to figure out all the logistics of where things will go."

Conrad says they hope to have all city apartments and condos phased into the program by the end of June, when they will be shutting down all of the neighbourhood recycling depots.
