39 wildfires in various stages of control across the province this morning.

SRD's ban in the forested areas of the province remains in place as do bans in area municipalities.

The forest managment area near Grande Prairie has seen 26 fires since April 1st, with three fire active.

Dry, windy conditions expected to hang around for the next few days and the wildfire risk locally remains extreme.

Information on Fire Bans can be found online at albertafirebans.ca -- links to alberta parks show bans in place for 5 provincial parks including Saskatoon Island.

Use of propane or gas barbecues for cooking is allowed, but all other wood, briquette, or other portable campfires are prohibited.
