The City is seeking members of the public to sit on their Council Remuneration Review Committee.

The group will be looking at all aspects of councillors pay, such as salary level, pension options and benefits to name a few.

Mayor Bill Given says a similar group was formed just prior to the last municipal election in 2010.

"We started a little bit late last time and the information might not have been out in time for people that were considering running for council.  So this time around the committee will have it's work completed by the end of 2012, allowing city council to finalize a decision in early 2013."

They're looking for people who can work well in a team, communicate well and who have an understanding of business, management and local government.

You need to move fairly quick - the deadline for applications is August 3rd.
