Grande Prairie is one of five communities in the Peace Region that will be getting some provincial funding for Alberta Culture Days at the end of September.

The Creative Arts Centre here in G-P, along with the Lac Cardinal Regional Performing Arts Society in Grimshaw, the Fairview Fine Arts Centre, the Rotary Club of Grande Cache, and the Sagitawa Friendship Centre in Peace River will all be getting a portion of the 375 thousand dollars put aside by the government for the celebrations.

The celebration of the ideas of community, cultural diversity and family are all driving factors behind Alberta Culture Days, which go September 28 to 30.

64 different agencies throughout the province got a chunk of the money to put on free, family-friendly events in 38 different communities in our province.
