RCMP stats show that the month of July is when the highest number of collisions between vehicles and motorbikes occur.

Corporal Roy Kennedy of the Grande Prairie RCMP reminds drivers that more and more motorbikes are on the road everyday, and drivers need to be aware of where they are at all times.

"I think it goes without saying to make sure that you're not using your mobile devices or fiddling with other things in the vehicle, such as radios and what not, and that your focus is primarily on the task at hand, which is driving."

Kennedy says both motorists and motorbike riders need to be aware of and respect each other on the road.
