GP Catholic School Officials Shocked & Saddened By Sudden Death Of Student

The local school community is reacting with shock and sadness at the sudden death of a grade 10 student.
The Grande Prairie Catholic School District says in a news release that Brock Ruether collapsed suddenly at the gymnasium of St. Thomas More Catholic School last night during a volleyball game.
A staff member performed CPR until emergency responders arrived.
The boy was pronounced dead at Fairview Hospital.
