Ticket sales for this year's Cash and Camping lottery are a little behind last year's pace.

But lottery manager Chantal Doucette-Chalifoux hopes they will pick up over the coming weeks, as they head into their busy time leading up to the July 6th grand prize draw.

She says this year's lottery has a new wrinkle to it.

"We have always had the scratch and win which is instant cash and prizes when you buy your ticket.  But we have also added an early bird, which is June 13th.  But your last day to get your tickets for that is June 9th.  And that's for five prizes totalling 10 thousand dollars cash."

The top four prizes this year offer a choice of some kind for the winner.

Tickets are available online at www.cashandcamping.com, by calling 780-532-0506, or in person at the giant tent in the Great Northern Casino parking lot.

Proceeds go to support 14 local non-profit groups.
