Discussions among community members surrounding the future of the former Anderson Hall site have begun.
The former student residence at Grande Prairie Regional College was torn down last fall after standing for 27 years.
City councilor Kevin O'Toole says a number of ideas were thrown around during the meeting, with the main focus being something that would benefit the community, while having a low impact on the environment.
"If you notice that area, there are not a lot of chairs or benches there, so that was something that we thought we could incorporate. Possibly some light playground equipment because right where that is, there are some family residences there."
An outdoor Amphitheatre was another popular option presented.
O'Toole says the process is still very much in the infancy stage.
