NewsGrande Prairie Representation At Envirothon Later This Week
The countdown until Alberta Envirothon is on. This year, Grande Prairie Composite High School will be sending a team to the provincial competition in Athabasca. Roberta Bater, a co-ordinator for the Envirothon, says the tasks the students have to complete are quite unique. "It's a three day competition where they do practical field exams, and then a written exam, and then they have to do a 20 minute presentation." If the team does well at provincials, they will be going to represent Alberta on a North American stage in Pennsylvania. Envirothon provincials start this Thursday and run until Sunday.
