Major multi-sport events like the London Games brings out more than just national pride in most of us.

Grande Prairie Gymniks facility manager Katie Watson says their club is impacted in a good way by the summer games. 

"We usually see a surge of registrationsevery Olympic year, so we're anticipating [it will be] a very busy fall." 

The club ran a Summer games-themed camp this past week, which included crafts related to the games, and the chance to participate in sports like gymnastics, trampoline, soccer and basketball.
