In the wake of Saturday's confirmation by the province of their financial support for the Philip J. Currie dinosaur museum, the Pipestone Creek Dinosaur Initiative Society is set to meet tonight to discuss the next steps in the project.

With the province on board, the group has raised 17 of the 30 million dollars needed to construct the museum near Wembley.

Society chair Ross Sutherland they will look at options to move the project forward.

"We have actually been looking, in the background, at other alternatives in case our funding did fall down on the federal level.  We are going to proceed."

Sutherland says the local support they have received, whether it's through corporate support or the countless hours of volunteer work put into the project, has been phenominal.
