NewsUnique Art Show Set For Next Weekend
A new outdoor art show will have a little bit of something for everyone. "Out of Nothing", a fully outdoor art show in the alley way behind the Unique Gallery on 100th Avenue, will feature all sorts of art from local artists, including painting, photography and even pottery. Ellen MacCormac is one of the organizers of the event - she says they'll be auctioning off panels on the wall as part of a special interactive part to the show. "we are going to have a big graffiti wall installation, and that's going to be open for all of the public to participate in. We will have spray cans there and stuff for people to protect their clothing. And the seed money that we will get from the auction will go towards future spontaneous art projects throughout the community." MacCormac says this is a great opportunity for local artists who may not have a common theme to their work to showcase their pieces. She adds that anyone can submit a piece - they'll help you sell it and you'll see all the money from the sale.
