NewsJobless Rate Up Nationally, Steady Provincially, and Lower Locally
Canada's unemployment numbers nudged up last month, to 7.3-percent. Stats-Can puts the blame on a loss of part time jobs. Alberta's jobless rate stayed at 4.6-percent for July, the same rate as June. Alberta labour statistics show employment increased by 58-hundred last month with the construction sector showing the most growth.
