Highway 43X to open tomorrow

Just in time for the long weekend -- part of the Grande Prairie bypass will be open to traffic tomorrow. Designated as Highway 43-X the bypass connects highway 43 from west of highway 2 to 116th Street. The route is designed to reduce traffic congestion in the city and allow for smooth flow of commercial traffic. The second phase of the construction will involve the area west of 116th street to connect highway 43 west of the airport.
