Local rodeo fans will notice a significant change to this year's competition at Stompede.
The first two shows tomorrow and Thursday( excluding slack at 9 o'clock tomorrow morning) will be held under the lights at 9pm, immediately after the chuckwagon races.
Canadian Pro Rodeo Association general manager Pete Montana thinks fans will welcome the change.
"We're confident wherever the Stompede committee decides to put their particular performances they're going to do fine because the fans in the Peace region are incredible roadeo fans. They come from all over to come to this particular event."
Show times return to their regular 1pm start for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday shows.
Because Grande Prairie is the first of ten stops this year on their Wrangler Pro Rodeo tour, Montana says their top competitors in all categories will be in town this week.
