Former FREE-FM Staffer Enjoying New Job With Canadian Pro Rodeo

Grande Prairie

Pro Rodeo is back as one of the key components of Stompede this year.

And a man very familiar with Grande Prairie is the new General Manager of the Canadian Pro Rodeo Association.

Former FREE-FM Program Director Pete Montana took over the job less than a month ago after serving as general manager of Vista Radio's four stations on Vancouver Island.

"It was great preparation, combined with my experience in the sport from back about seven years ago before I left to join VISTA Radio Limited.  So it is surprising for at least me how great a fit it feels."

Montana is coming back to Grande Prairie for next week's Stompede rodeo competition, and is looking forward to visiting with friends from the community.
