Local Mounties are looking for thieves responsible for a weekend theft at a south side business.
Grande Prairie RCMP say $20,000 worth of insulated copper wire was stolen from Control Tech on 78th Avenue sometime late Saturday afternoon.
Investigators figure the bandits climbed a fence around the business, grabbed the spools, and heaved them back over the fence onto a heavy truck and drove off.
Police say other types of wire were stolen too.
Anyone with information is asked to call the detachment at 780-830-5700 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
