County council approved the 2012 budget today and that zero tax increase is still in the document.
Reeve Leanne Beaupre says nearly $1.6-million in additional tax revenue gave council some wiggle-room to add in a few more line-items to the budget, such as an increase to library funding, and a grant towards the purchase of a new ice resurfacer in Beaverlodge.
"There's been an increase to a lot of our communities for the asks that were deferred to the spring budget and it really reflects a quality of life projects that our rate payers have asked us for and we've committed to helping them with."
Any changes on your tax bill would reflect adjustments in market value, as well as a $19 education levy -- not results of the municipal budget.
