NewsWine & Cheese Kicks Off Swan Festival Tonight
The trumpeter swans are back in the region and it's time to throw a party to celebrate their return. The 15th annual Swan Festival goes this weekend, with activities taking place tomorrow at Saskatoon Island provincial park. Guided bus tours of the area where the swans nest over the summer begin at 12:30 tomorrow and go every half hour. The tours are $4 or $15 for a family. Free activities - which run until 5 tomorrow afternoon - include displays, face painting, and a chance to try out several wetlands- related activities. The weekend starts tonight with a wine and cheese social and silent auction at Centre 2000.
