With the rate of teen depression on the rise, Alberta Health Services is offering a free Q&A period on Twitter for people in the northern part of Alberta with two of their best doctors.

Lisa Peters, a Communications Officer with A-H-S, says both Doctor Michael Trew, Senior Medical Director Addiction and Mental Health with A-H-S and psychiatrist Doctor Tyler Pirlot will be online to answer your questions.

"We'll be helping direct people to different resources that are available to them We do ask that anyone seeking personal medical information or advice [contact us] afterwards and we can follow up with them. We're anticipating questions such as 'What are some signs of depression?' and [questions about] what different resources are available in the community."

She adds that they've had a lot of success with chats like this one in the southern parts of the province, and they hope to have just as much positive feedback up here.

You can join the conversation, just get on Twitter on Wednesday, July 11th at noon and use hashtag #AHSteenhelp.
