Local RCMP says you can expect an increased presence from them throughout the long weekend.

Corporal Roy Kennedy with the Grande Prairie detachment says there will be additional officers assigned to the Evergreen Park area for this year's Bud Country Fever event.

"Both in and around the event, making sure the patrons have fun but also conduct themselves in a respectful manner.  And also around the roadways to make sure nobody is driving impaired.  We will also have an increased presence this weekend, as it is the first weekened that our bikes will be out."

Corporal Kennedy adds additional members will be assigned to their foot patrol, and to their safe city nights patrols to deal with any noise complaints.
