Last week, premier Alison Redford announced a new online reporting policy regarding travel and other expenses for government MLA's, political staff and senior civil servants.

Alberta Health Services announced a similar policy Thursday for all of it's board and executive members.

Their expenses will be reported online monthly, with a series of thresholds being built in that will automatically trigger reviews.

AHS Board Chair Stephen Lockwood thinks the policy is the first step in rebuilding the trust of Albertans, which has been rocked by recent reports of outlandish expense claims by the group's former CFO.

"I committed that I would recommend to our board that we accept the  policy as put forth by the government last week. So, I think it's going to be a first step and we will continue to be transparent."

Lockwood says all AHS leaders are expected to track every health dollar used for expenses, and will be held accountable - whether it's one dollar or $100.
