A couple of sharp shooters from the Wapiti Shooters Club have made the Canadian Women's Shooting Team.

Daniela Sirbu and Elizabeth Gustafson will have the chance this year to compete on an international scale in all sorts of competitions.

A Grande Prairie native, Sirbu has been shooting since she was seven - she says this wasn't her first time going out for the International Team.

"This year, I did the best I've ever done, but it was still a little nerve racking to go out there and go into finals knowing that you're going into finals against some of the best people in Canada."

Sirbu's specialty is rifle shooting, while Gustafson uses a pistol.

If they keep up the pace, both women could have the chance to compete at the next Olympic Games.
