If your long weekend plans take you out of town, be aware that there will be extra sets of eyes watching what you are doing on area roads.

Corporal Roy Kennedy with the Grande Prairie RCMP says their Integrated Traffic Unit will be out in full force on area highways this weekend.

 "They're dedicated to enforcing both Criminal Code offences such as impaired driving or dangerous driving, as well as Traffic Safety Act including speeding or other infractions people engage in when trying to rush to their location." 

In the city, the Safe City nights program will be in operation to respond to any noise complaints and to make sure visitors to local establishments are on their best behaviour.
