NewsWeadick Leaves Grande Prairie With New Ideas
Alberta's Minister of Advanced Education, Greg Weadick, says he'll leave Grande Prairie with new ideas to bring back to Edmonton. Weadick and Minister Frank Oberle were flanked by local MLAs Mel Knight and Wayne Drysdale at trips to Grande Prairie Regional College and St.Clement Catholic School today. Weadick says he heard a good recommendation while at the college. "We might be able to change foreign credential acceptance, so you get more people into the workforce, because as you know in Alberta we're short of workers in many of the skilled trades. We had some great recommendations there as to how we might streamline some of that." Weadick adds trips like this aren't juts a public relations tour but, do have a substantial result in influencing how the government approaches legislation. Similar StoriesMost Viewed Stories
