NewsCounty For Division Four Fire Guardians
The County is looking for residents in division four to serve as fire guardians. It is the area of the County immediately west of Grande Prairie, and includes Wembley, Dimsdale, Saskatoon Lake and Bear Lake. Responsibilities include educating and informing residents on safe burning practices, and helping the County issue fire permits during burning season from April to October. Fire guardians must be 18 years or older and own a driver's licence. Once selected, they will receive training from both the County fire department and Sustainable Resource Development.
