Bhardwadj A Fan Of Grande Prairie's Multiplex

Count Edmonton-area MLA Naresh Bhardwadj as a fan of the Multiplex.

The Parlimentary Assistant for Alberta Health and Wellness was in town Monday as part of the cabinet ministers tours and took a walk though Grande Prairie's $110-million facility.

Bhardwadj says it's a real example of forward-thinking construction.

" What a fantastic facility! And unique - a lot of the equipment [that is] in there, and the concept, design, it is designed to attract people in of various age groups,so very impressive."

The city reports as of this week there've been over 42,000 independant visits to the Multiplex, while more than 3,100 people have signed on for annual memberships.

Also, 10,000 people are "sampling" the pool, squash courts, fieldhouse, and fitness facilities through the punch card system.
