NewsStreet Performers Festival Gets Federal Cash
Heritage Canada has announced over 4.5 million dollars in funding for 69 arts, culture, and language related programs and events throughout Alberta. That includes seven thousand dollars in funding over each of the next two years for the Grande Prairie International Street Performers Festival. Street Performers Festival Co-chair Wayne Ayling says Heritage Canada, along with Peace River M-P Chris Warkentin, have been huge supporters of the festival over it's 12 years of existance. This year's event runs July 20-22 along 100th avenue in downtown Grande Prairie. There are also satellite shows planned for July 17th in Valleyview and July 18th in Beaverlodge. Most Viewed Stories
