It's one step at a time for the Grande Prairie Disc Golf Association - they got some good news on Monday when Council approved $13,500 in funding for the construction of their new course.

The next step is getting the rest of the $20,000  it's going to take to complete the course from the Parks Improvement Program through the City.

Operations Manager at Muskoseepi Park Laurie Barry says they hope to get strated on the building as soon as possible.

"The ideal case would be that they receive from the Parks Improvement Program the outstanding $,7500 they need. And if they receive that and it goes to vote they we can go ahead order the equipmen,t begin construction, and hopefully it's done sometime around the middle or end of August."

She adds that it'll be about a month or so before the funding goes before Council, and another three weeks to order the equipment.

The course will be on both the Canfor Lands and a bit of Muskoseepi Park off of 95th Avenue.
