It's a day that residents of Beaverlodge have been waiting several years for.
A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at 10 am tomorrow(Friday) to officially open the Beaverlodge/West County Pool.
Beaverlodge Mayor Leona Hanson says it's not just a recreation complex, but more of a multi-use facility.
"It's becoming out 'Town Square' where we've connected to the existing community centre allowing for a little bit more space for functions in the community, and it will be a centre point for the community to come and do things-- from fitness to yoga to swimming."
The $11-million facility will also soon become the new home to Beaverlodge town offices.
Admission is free this weekend to use either the pool or the fitness centre.
