This was very predictable after the sunny, warm weather we got over the weekend.

Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development has raised the wildfire hazard rating in the Smoky Management Area back up to High.

Across the province, there have been 525 wildfires this year, with 34 of those happening in the Smoky district.

There is currently one small wildfire burning in the area, although ESRD has it listed as under control.
