NewsFour Charitable Groups Receive Community Foundation Grants
Four local charitable organizations were the recipients of five thousand dollar Community Impact Grants from the Community Foundation of Greater Grande Prairie. One of the gropus was PACE. Assistant director Connie Miller says the money will be used to help develop a much needed resource library. "There is a lot of information that we try to give to clients on a psycho-education level, and many of the materials we would be using, we have to purchase. And so it's nice to have a library on site that we can generate that information out of." The money was made available to the Foundation by an anonymous donor after the Foundation increased their community impact endowment funds by over 100 thousand dollars over the past year. Other groups to recxeive grants were Grande Prairie and area Safe Communities, the Kool Aid Society, and the Grande Prairie Area Council on Aging. Most Viewed Stories
