Many businesses in the downtown will be staying open late tonight.

Downtown Association manager Helen Rice says it's part of their third annual DownTown Spring Shop Crawl.

"It's our way of welcoming and celebrating spring.  The roads are clear, the sidewalks are clear, it is beautiful weather to wander around.  So, the majority of the downtown stores will be open.  They will be designated by the lit palm trees out in front."

Shoppers are encouraged to pick up a punch card tonight and have it punched by 5 businesses in order to win a gift bag, or 3 times in order to enter a draw for a 500 dollar downtown gift card.

That draw will be made around 10pm tonight at Mingles on Main.
