No protests tomorrow at catholic schools in the region, but supporters of the separate school system in the Grande Prairie area have been burning up the phone lines, email and social media to let government leaders know what they think of the Education Act.

Officials with the Grande Prairie and District Catholic Schools board say some elements of Bill 2 would have negative impacts on catholic education.

Superintendent Karl Germann says language in the act is too open to interpretation when it comes to who has the ultimate say in a child's education.

"It's got to be black  and white with legislation otherwise somebody interprets it. And you know I want  to have a discussion with my family at my table and I don't want it to be the government's agenda."

A planned series of marches tomorrow has been cancelled, as have any outside protests.

Germann says parents and supporters have been calling local MLAs and government officials have been in contact with the board.
