Trial dates have been set for a Grande Prairie man arrested after the ALERT team found half a kilogram of cocaine in a rural area west of the city last October.

37 year old Ralph McGuigan faces charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possessing proceeds of crime, and will stand trial October 29th and 30th.

Meanwhile, three men arrested after another drug bust conducted by ALERT in November will return to court tomorrow.

Police executed a search of a rural property near La Glace, and also seized an estimated half million dollars in concaine in traffic stops in Clairmont.

It's believed to be one of the largest cocaine seizures ever in the region.

44 year old Clayton Buhler, 40 year old Shaun Thexton, and 25 year old Bradley Demont all face drug trafficking, conspiracy to traffic cocaine and weapons possession charges.

Buhler is also charged with possession of marijuana, possession of an unregistered restricted firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.

Investigators believe the two cases are connected.
